The Resistance

 Hi Friends, We all are struggling under the weight of the authoritarian takeover of the federal government, by the Trump regime, but I will briefly speak for myself. I have been struggling mightily with feeling powerless to do anything significant to counter the effects of all of the federal madness. I have been living under the mantra that doing small things to promote democracy, kindness, loving my neighbor (literal and figurative), and so on, is the only way we are going to get through this together. I was just rehearsing this mantra in my head when the not so quiet voice in my head declared that my pitiful little acts of kindness and organization were not enough. I immediately realized that this voice of doubt was likely accurate, unless I joined with others to pool our small acts of resistance. A Beginning...

 Greetings Friends! I don't know about you all, but for me, knowing that we are less than a year out from the next presidential election, sorta scares the hell out of me! To cope with my anxiety, I've decided to create a blog where I'll periodically publish some ways that we can collectively make a difference in the coming election.  I picked the name, "A Few Simple Acts Can Change the World" because I firmly believe that to be true. So I decided to create a simple forum for people to not only discover ways they can act, but for you all to share your ideas as well! As you likely are aware, Wisconsin is one of the handful of swing states alongside Pennsylvania, Arizona, and Georgia. These states are known as such due to how close their elections have been over the past several elections cycles.
